1939 Regal Dobro Resonator Acoustic Guitar USA Made model 6

  

Made in the Regal/Dobro factory in 1939. This is the model 6 variant thanks to an ebayer for supplying the correct information!

A real and genuine blues cannon! All original piece of guitar history, 80 years old (serial number stamped on headstock to verify) so not only a vintage guitar but 20 years off being classed as an antique!

Looks amazing with its beautifully aged sunburst finish. Plenty of weather checking and crazing - the pictures dont do the guitar justice. Sounds beautiful - like only a vintage guitar can... Mellow, deep bass and clear solid treble. Great sustain with a heavy glass slide.

Medium/high action for slide playing and a fantastic V shaped neck (round neck not square). Frets in great condition as is the original nut. Tuners are original dobro made (all dobros and regals were made in the same factory during this year and parts were interchangeable/the same).

Please note all the dust and dirt has been left on the cone and under the chrome plate... Cleaning this will enhance the tone...

Obviously its aged and well worn... But in fantastic condition for the year. Only seen one other like this and its owned by a celebrity on the country scene in the US. Very rare in the uk!
