1947 Kay Made Kamico Model 8457 Oval Hole Archtop Guitar

  

From the trade in pile... Maybe a rare old duck here. Kay decided to make a budget brand called Kamico and it had three models. These Kamico's were made from 1947 - 1951.

This is the big ol' rascal.. All original Kamico Model 8457. An oval hole archtop guitar. Except the pickguard this old thing is the way God and Kay intended. Body is almost 17 wide.

Top and back are arched. The pickguard is aftermarket but it's cool. The pickguard was mounted using the original holes.

Finish has held up well. Binding is overall very good. I love the pumpkin burst.

Normal wear and tear, nicks bumps, scratches. Been played as you can see in the pictures of the neck. The neck profile is very big, the action is low. The neck radius is a very vintage 9.5 inches.

Tuner buttons are ugly but are stable. Soundwise it sounds like a 30's Regal configured the same way. Please look the pictures over carefully.
