1970s Antoria/Ibanez pre-lawsuit Concord/Hummingbird Made in Japan. Up for sale is my precious 1970s, made in Japan Antoria/Ibanez pre-lawsuit Concord/Hummingbird. First a little history about this marvellous guitar.

Built in the early 1970s in Japan, its design is based upon the iconic Gibson Hummingbird. So named because it's build quality was so high, and it's sound so similar to it's inspiration that Gibson took a lawsuit, insisting a halt in production. This model was made by the highly esteemed Japanese FujiGen Gakki factory and then imported to the UK by either James T Coppock of Leeds or Charles Summerfield Ltd. Now a little about the condition of the guitar. The next has some serious forward neck relief/bow and will need some attention by either a professional guitar technician or someone who has the time to sit down and educated themselves about this.

There are a couple of small cosmetic issues also, but these are incredibly easy to remedy. The guitar will needs its nut and bridge sale replacing and it also missing the headstock/truss rod access cover. Aside from the above issues the condition of the guitar is actually remarkable considering its 50 year ago.

Theres some tasteful wear and acing, but no cracks or major body damage! As beautiful as this guitar is, its just an ornament in my possession. Its being unused and unloved. It deserves to go to someone who will put the time and effort into bringing this back to its former, playable glory!
