1976 Guild F20-NT Troubadour Vintage Acoustic Guitar with Case, USA Made Westerly

  
Up for sale, a 1976 Guild F20-NT Troubadour acoustic guitar in excellent condition. Crafted in the USA at Guild's Westerly, RI factory, this small X-braced acoustic is incredibly versatile, excelling at fingerpicking and strumming alike, with the definition of a Sitka spruce top and the warmth of a mahogany back, sides, and neck. This acoustic offers notable projection and growl when you dig in, while still maintaining a tight, focused bass response and a delicate top end. Weighing 4lbs even, this Guild has been professionally setup here at Mike and Mikes Guitar Bar with 12-53 strings and comfortable action. The mahogany neck has a medium, rounded C shape, with modest shoulder and lightly rolled fretboard edges, measuring. 859 at the 1st fret and 1.010 at the 9th where the profile begins to gently transition into the heel. The thick slab rosewood fingerboard features slender frets that show virtually zero wear, retaining their full height and well rounded crowns. The scale is 25 5/8 long and the carved bone nut measures 1 11/16 in width. On headstock, a set of original chrome strip tuners are present alongside the gold Guild logo.

On the solid spruce top, the original rosewood bridge sits flush on all edges, with no untoward deflection of the top behind the bridge. The saddle is near its lowest point of adjustment, yet the action is infinitely playable in every register.

The body features a full 14" lower bout and a body depth of 4 3/8". Cosmetically, the original nitro lacquer gloss finish is well preserved, showing only a few scattered minor scratches and marks in the finish, but nothing deep or substantial.

The neck profile is also in great condition, with only a couple inconsequential shallow marks in the finish. As the photos show, this is a particularly clean and crack-free vintage Guild with only light wear on the guitar as a whole, performance-ready for stage or studio use.
