Gibson MK35 1970s Made in USA Rare Vintage Acoustic Guitar And Hardcase. Very rare vintage Gibson acoustic that is a change from the usual Dove, Hummingbird, J-45, J-220 territory and more akin to a Martin dreadnought but with some pretty wild styling flourishes to the bridge and soundhole.

Frets are super low and flat as is of the period. Really cool vintage tuners and headstock logo. Holds tune great and sounds beautiful. Comes with a battered old Hiscox Lifeflite hardcase that has been glued inside. As tatty as it may be, it holds the guitar very snugly indeed and is very sturdy.

The bad points on the guitar itself: action is a little high and not much space left on the saddle to go down much but Im sure that someone who knows what theyre doing can amend that with a proper set up or truss rod adjustment. Truss rod cover has a crack to the plastic at the top end as pictured. Theres a green mark on the back under the coat (which leads me to believe it was a factory flaw). Some wear near the bridge that is a little grubby.

Some residue where a pickguard was added and removed. Little chip near the lower body curve below the sound hole. Various scratches and little dings and cosmetic flaws that would expect of a guitar that is over four decades old. If you can live with all that and fancy a little project to get it back to its former glory this is a beauty of a vintage guitar that is begging to be played and loved.
