Larrivee OM-03A Spruce & Swamp Ash Limited Edition, Made in USA

  

Following from the massive success of their limited edition Walnut range of 03 series guitars, we have got our hands on the first of their new special edition range, Made in the USA with solid Swamp Ash back and sides. The all new D-03A features select ash back and sides and solid sitka top, rosewood veneer headcap, rosewood fingerboard with rosewood binding, rosewood bridge and contrasting rosewood body-binding.

The OM03A features are slightly different to a standard 03. As well as the lovely solid select Swamp Ash back and sides, it also features a Rosewood bridge and fretboard, and contrasting Rosewood binding on the body. Unusually for Larrivee the fretboard is bound with Rosewood, which gives it a different, possibly more'woody', classy and organic feel as the fingerboard looks like one solid piece of Rosewood. The top is, as ever, solid Sitka Spruce.

Overall a lovely guitar with a bright and balanced tone, with the Swamp Ash tonewoods and Rosewood appointments making this Larrivee something just a bit different and more individual than your average model.
