Lowden 1992 Original Series S25 Acoustic Guitar Made in Northern Ireland

  

Refurbished by a certified luthier. There were two cracks in the top that have been fixed. They ran from either end of the bridge down to the tail. There are 2-3 diamond cleats closing the cracks on the inside of the guitar.

Because of the crack repair, there was some dirt in the wood that surfaced to appear as black lines where the cracks were. See pictures for further detail.

There were also feathered cracks starting to surface on the waist on the back of the guitar (both sides). They have been fixed, and are no longer visible. Any other nicks in the wood have been photographed up-close.

The nicks are cosmetic and do not affect playability. This guitar was made in 1992 in Northern Ireland. This is an Original Series S-Model Lowden. The Original Series Lowden's were the first style of George Lowden guitars and began production in 1976. In 1992 they began producing this S model which indicates that it is a concert body style.
