Pyramid bridge, as well as rosewood body binding, herringbone rosette and back strip. Featuring an aged toner Sitka Spruce top with forward shifted scalloped X bracing paired with solid East Indian rosewood back and sides, this Martin easily keeps pace with the HD-28V while also boasting a fingerpicking-friendly 1 3/4 nut width. The guitar features a b. Road, dry tone with a sparkling, snappy top end and a certain hollowness and cut in the bass register that keeps the sound very clear and balanced. A touch of growl when you dig in hard with a flat pick, and the guitar has a high volume ceiling and a wide dynamic range.

The mahogany neck has a comfortable low oval profile carve, easy playing in every register and capped with a solid ebony fingerboard. The original frets are flawless, and the fretboard features snowflake inlay. The guitar features Martin's traditional 25.4" dreadnought scale, and the carved bone nut measures a full 1 3/4" in width, ideal for fingerpicking. The headstock has a rosewood veneer and flawless gold Martin script text. The body features a small footprint carved ebony pyramid bridge with drop-in saddle, and the tortoise pickguard has been substituted for a Holter black guard.

The compensated drop-in bone saddle ensures optimal intonation, and while having minimal height, does offer very comfortable action in every register. The aged toner top is framed by rosewood binding, and a herringbone rosette and back strip are additional subtle accents. The high gloss nitro lacquer body finish highlights the p. Articularly visually appealing book matched solid rosewood back and sides, with dark black stripes segmenting the otherwise milk chocolate color of the wood. There are some minor pick guard scratches hard to see and a small nick on the head stock, see pictures.
