Here for sale I have this great guitar, made In KANI GIFU (Japan) in 1974. A RARE AND PRECIOUS HANDCRAFTED GUITAR, PERSONALLY SIGNED BY HIS LUTHIER.

It was crafted during the so called. Because the world's most popular guitar brands experienced frightening copy competition and, in some cases, that led to court action. Yairi really looks like a. Please, have a closer look at the grain of the woods used! The guitar is in great condition for its age.

It's been recently adjusted by a luthier, saddle & nut included, with brand new. It had the finished repaired, close to the pickguard, and a crack close to the endpin shown in the last picture its been reapired too. You see that darker area close to the pickguard??

This area was damaged after too many years of picks hitting there (I guess someone should have learned playing before using this guitar). Now it's been refinished to protect the top solid wood from further damage.

Is darker because is impossible to match the tone of the 1974 finish, but is ponished and looks perfect under direct light. My luthier did an amazing job! Now is no longer a problem at all, and remains like a cosmetic issue that gives character to this vintage guitar. The repaired crack now is firm and is not going anywhere, so no worries either. READY TO BE PLAYED FOR ANOTHER 40 YEARS!

The tuners were replaced at some point and one is a different brand, but them all perfectly hold tune. The guitar sounds awesome, here you can see a video that can give you an approximate idea of the sustain, projection, bass and sound balance of this great K. Here's some more information. There are marks of use, it's been played during its 46 years of life. Now, there's nothing big to worry, just those typical "war wounds".

Indian Rosewood back and sides. The neck of this guitar is straight, with some wear at the back, but just affecting the finish.

The action is low, it's really easy to play. Undoubtedly, the Japanese luthiers of the 70's were among the best on the planet, and the proof is right here. I think I really don't need to talk about K. Yairi guitars, I'm sure you already know what this brand means and how it's been considered worlwide for the last 50 years (and still today).
