When I acquired this guitar the original electronics and pick-up were not functional. I removed the original pick-up and replaced it with the one pictured here which works perfectly. However, this means (obviously) that the original Volume and Tone Controls (pictured) do not function; however, I thought it was better to leave them in place. The guitar has also been fitted with a new bridge and set up by a professional luthier. I have recently re-strung the guitar with a set of high-quality D'Addario 80/20 Bronze.010.047 light gauge strings which really bring out the bright tones and resonant harmonics of this instrument. Another really attractive feature of this guitar are the stylish dove-design fretboard inlays (see picture) which look rather unique. All in all, this guitar looks and sounds great. Considering its age, this guitar is in excellent condition. There are no scratches or scuffs or any major dents or "dings". I have only used the guitar for some home-recording work and never gigged with it. I think this instrument would be appreciated by both the intermediate and advanced player; (I would not recommend it to a beginner -- the 12 string technique is relatively demanding and requires practise to master).
