Hard to find Yamaha LA8 handmade in Yamaha's Custom Shop in Taiwan in 1990's in good condition. They all have this fading on the coloured solid spruce top, surface is not affected. Mahogany back and sides, ebony fretboard and bridge. Some wear on frets but not a problem. Slightly smaller body than current range, balanced, refined sound low action, good for recording, currently fitted with Elixir Polyweb, sounds much brighter with D'Addarios. They do not come up for sale v often, been looking for superior model in range but given up and bought new Eastman hence sale.
