The action is a little bit high, but the guitar plays good. Bakelite Bridge (saddles) is already at it's lowest position. NOTE the unusual tilt/action adjustment mechanism at the heel of the neck (coupled with wing nut in the neck block). Essentially this is a variation on the theme of a Fender Tilt Neck hex screw...
Accessed via a hole in the neck plate. The guitar has a new fretboard and fretwires, I consider this a restoration, not a restomod, thanks to the work done by Hauver Guitars in Sheppardstown WV (2019).
This maker specializes in Chicago guitars from the 20's and 30's and I see it as BETTER than originals came out of the factory.
