1934 Supertone Parlor Guitar NECK RESET Stencil Harmony Made In USA Acoustic

  

I posted a sample video of this guitar on youtube for your consideration. Nicely restored Supertone Parlor guitar from the 1930s. Solid Birch top back and sides. Original bridge has been re-routed for a custom fabricated bone saddle.

The one hidden under the pickguard is a bit unsightly, but it is solidly repaired and cleated. Made in Chicago in the early days of the Harmony guitar company. Very cool country and/or blues birch box acoustic guitar. This guitar was in bad shape when I acquired it.

Crack repair and warp repair was successfully completed. The neck was reset at the time, but after sitting for decades without tension and in disrepair, new string tension caused the action to be higher than ideal. So its been reset again and the action is now at a comfortable 2mm at the 12th fret. Thats just about 5/64ths of an inch. It plays well up and down the neck.

All the braces and seams have been reglued with titebond. The dovetail neck joint is shimmed and glued in with hot hide glue.
