1970 Custom Made Manuel Contreras Acoustic Guitar Signed With Custom Case & More

  

On offer, we have a guitar made by the award winning Manuel Contreras. The label inside is dated 1970 and autographed "Manuel Contreras". The end is beautifully engraved and the tuners appear to be mother of pearl. The guitar comes in its custom made case with the Manuel Contreras card dated 1969.

There are various accessories inside: A large polishing cloth, "Super" pitch pipe, small hand crank, wooden piece with felt backing and wood tuner capo? , package of 3 Aranjuez classic gold strings and 3 keys.

The guitar measures 40" long with a 20 1/2" neck and 19 1/2" X 14 3/4" X 4 1/8 body. My local guitar store measured the scale length at 26 or 660.4mm. It weighs 3 pounds 11 ounces.

In its case it is 12 pounds 8 ounces. We believe this in very good to excellent vintage condition, my guitar store agrees. It has had little to mild play with the neck appearing especially fine. There are no "buckle scratches" on the back. I found some wear on the right side of the neck beside the tuner and a 1 5/8 scratch on the front.

My guitar store checked the scratch, it does not go thru the wood, it is only a scratch. The case has some wear. This is from the estate of my friend's husband.
