1980 Ibanez S300SV Acoustic Guitar Made in Japan + Hard Case RARE

  

1980 Ibanez S300SV (Satin Violin) Dreadnought. It has mahogany sides and back with a triple-layered spruce top. The guitar has scalloped bracing inside, a Tru-Tone saddle, arched backs, diamond snowflake inlays, rosewood fingerboard, splayed out'Guild' style headstock and a soft'V' shaped neck profile.

It has been strung with John Pearse 200L bronze strings. It has a few cosmetic marks, scuffs and dings on the body, headstock and neck as you would expect from a 40 year old instrument, but certainly nothing serious or even alarming. All the binding is in excellent order and the tuners are tight and sturdy. The frets are fairly well used and the first five or six would probably benefit from being replaced in the near future. If you know and like Japanese guitars from this era for their superior craftsmanship and tone and want something with a unique charm, character and classic vibe then this might be for you.

It has a BIG projected sound when you demand it but also a very pleasing thickness and clarity on single notes allowing you to get a lot out of not doing too much, it just sounds and feels musical and mature.
