1980 LYS L10 Acoustic Guitar. Hand Built in Patrie Canada its date of birth is 18-10-1980.
This Guitar plays fantastic, it has a solid Cedar top with mahogany back and sides. The Neck is made from mahogany and the fingerboard is a very satisfying rosewood as well as the tail piece. Bone Nut and sadel quality closed tuners and a hard case.
There is history with this guitar, Lys guitars were made by Claude Boucher (Son of Normand Boucher who founded Norman guitars back in the 70s here Quebec) and Robert Godin. Norman guitars and Lys guitars were made in the same small village of Quebec but in different shops. Claude and Robert also separated at the time and Godin kept the Norman name and modified the Lys and Kamouraska (classicals made in the Lys shop) into the Seagull and La Patrie still present today.
Model - Lys L10 Hi Gloss. Country Of Origin - Canada.Solid Top - Canadian Cedar. Scale Length 25.5 (648 mm). Comes with a Fitted hard case. The guitar has undergone a complete inspection in our workshop, with the neck relief being checked and a light fret polish, the fingerboard and bridge have been oiled and a brand new set of Elixir 11-52 Nanoweb strings has also been installed making this guitar play beautiful.
