Just finished this beautiful acoustic bass guitar. It really is one of a kind and I can safely say there are no others just like it in the world.
The body is in walnut with a light stripe down the back (book matched from the wood). The neck is mahogany and the fretboard is made from 3000 year old bog oak (an oak fell over in a bog possibly at the time of the pyramids and was preserved, Which I find a bit freaky). The body is a classic design with a cut out so you can play higher up the fretboard. The neck was modelled on the dimensions of a good quality electric bass so it gives an acoustic instrument with an electric "feel". There is a double adjustable truss rod in the neck so it can be tuned to however you like it (currently set up as the electric but may need tightening as the wood matures).
Gives an amazing mellow sound and is easy to play (in my opinion :) and considerably louder than I was expecting from a bass. Also, I'd like you to play it before taking it to make sure you are completely happy. If you don't want it after trying it then I'm happy for you to walk away and I won't leave bad feedback.
