This is a GoldStar G12HF 5-string banjo that was manufactured by Tokai Gakki in the 1970s. This one was manufactured in 1976 and I bought it used in 2011. I changed the head from Five Star to REMO Renaissance after I bought it.
Metal parts are nickel plated. There is rust and dullness. Maple neck, rim and resonator. Nails on the 7th, 9th and 10th frets of the 5th string.
7th fret has a broken head and is useless. There is a mark where the 5th string capo was removed. There is a scratch on the inside of the resonator (photo 7).
The bracket for the resonator is wobbly, but it does not interfere with holding the resonator. There is a scratch on the head (Photo 8). There is a repair mark on the heel of the neck. There is a scratch on the head (photo 8). The strings are old and need to be replaced.
