This is a classic Japenese Fender dreadnought acoustic from 1980 when Fender made decent acoustics. As soon as you pick this guitar up you can feel the difference. A nice weight and V shaped neck. And when you strum you know you've got a winner. It's a bright and punchy sound with a lot of sustain. The F-65 features a solid spruce top with mahogany back and sides. The bridge is ebony and the nut is bone. This is the rarer model with pearloid snowflakes inlaid in the rosewood fingerboard.
There is also aberlone stone around the edge of the body and soundhole. In really good condition for it's forty odd years. Look closely and there are some micro dinks but nothing that stands out. There are also a couple of slight fingernail indentations in the back of the neck.
Stays in tune well and the machine heads turn without slipping. I have just put a brand new set of Martin 10's on the guitar and it sounds even better.
By the way I know it's a 1980 model as Dec. 80 has been wriiten on the label. Will be well packed for transit in a strong box.
