Gibson J-45 Made in 1961   Gibson J-45 Made in 1961
Gibson J-45 Made in 1961. Gibson J-45CSB nut width 43mm, head angle 17 degrees, one-ring sound hole ring made in 1961, thin type large pickguard with specifications equivalent to those of the 1950s, cherry sunburst adopted from around 1961, and around 56 The adjustable bridge has been adopted for the bridge since then, but this instrument is an irregular model with a slotted saddle. The richness of the mid-low range, which is not found in adjustable saddles, is attractive.

However, although the bridge is original, it has been shaved and made a little thinner, but both sides are firmly fixed and there is no problem in using it at present. In addition, the neck is very easy to grip because the nut width is 43mm only for this age but it is thin.

There is a crack repair along the neck end and pickguard from the right side to the top of the sound hole. In addition, there is a crack in the center shim from the sound hole to the bridge, and a repair plate is applied from the back to reinforce it.

Both have been completely repaired, so you can continue to use them with confidence. There is a twist on the shaft of the 3rd string peg, but there is no particular problem. Also, there are some hard spots when turning to the 3rd and 1st string pegs. I think the nuts and fret saddles have been replaced. The frets are a little thicker and have about 70% leftovers.

The string height is about 1.7mm for the 1st string 12F and about 2.2mm for the 6th string 12F, which is low and easy to play. There is no twist in the neck and there is plenty of room for the rod. A strap pin is struck on the neck heel. As mentioned above, there are repairs and parts replacement unique to vintage, but the sound is not affected by the repair at all, and it is a wonderful sound only for the model that inherited the specifications of the early 60's cherry sunburst and slotted bridge adoption in the 50's. The pickguard is a thin large pickguard and is original, but since it was peeled off, it has been re-tensioned after it arrived, but there is a limit to the degree of adhesion, so there are some parts that are floating.
