This is a superb Japanese acoustic guitar made around 1980 going on the serial number. Grant guitar's have gained a cult following and have a loyal fan base on Facebook and beyond. Grant was a house brand of James Grant Music (Jimmy's) - a chain of Scottish music shops in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen from the mid 1960s to the mid 1980s. Jimmy Grant imported various instruments from Japan - for example electric guitars were made by Chushin Gakki, FujiGen, Dyna Gakki and possibly Terada. The guitars and basses were typically Gibson and Fender copies. There were also Grant branded effects and banjos. This guitar has a lovely striking tone and plays nicely with good action.
This is quite a rare model, I've never seen a Tobacco burst finish Grant acoustic before! Condition : some light marks here and there.
The fretboard is in good condition, but has lost some of the dark colour to edges of fretboard in places. The frets are in good condition. The tone is really superb and has great bass response. You will love it's tone, big on bass and sparkling highs. The item "Grant Acoustic Guitar Great tone Rare Tobacco Burst made in Japan" is in sale since Sunday, August 15, 2021.
