Greco EG-480 Made in 1974
This is Greco's Les Paul. · Gneko logo · Bolt-on neck · No serial number -"Custom" engraved on the truss rod cover · PU made in 1974 (identified by the serial on the back of the PU) -Rear PU pole piece is round instead of square Therefore, it seems to be the EG-480 made in 1974. It is a Japan vintage guitar that is highly evaluated on the net.
It's hard to see in the photo, but it's a pretty tiger eye. A sweet and astringent sound that combines a moderately withered PU and the semi-hollow structure that is characteristic of the Greco Les Paul of those days. It's subjective, but I think it's a tone that suits 70's rock, blues, and jazz. The neck is slightly warped.
The truss rod does not have much room in the clockwise direction. The frets are considerably reduced, but there is no clogging.
I think the PU is U-1000 for both front and rear. The front PU seems to be single coiled.
In both cases, the sound comes out normally without any rattling or noise. Also, there is no front PU cover. Volume pods, tone pods, jacks, PU selectors, pegs, and bridges are original.
Commercially available parts are attached to the knob, SW plate, and pickguard. The pickguard is processed according to the guitar.
