Harmony made SS Stewart Archtop Guitar 1940s War Era 7006 Model

  

SS Stewart Archtop Guitar Model 7006, made by Harmony, USA. In very good original condition and a very nice player too! The guitar has the War Era wooden tailpiece that dates it to the 1940s. I was told it was 1945 when I bought it but Ive not researched the serial number which is found on the label inside.

It has some nice original wear and a cool patina but also plays well with no issues. I know from experience its not easy to find a guitar of this vintage that doesnt need repair work. As you can see from the photo, the thick E holds plectra to the thickness of 2.5mm at the 12th fret and there are no dead spots. It currently has an 11 gauge set on the top E. I like a relatively low set up and lightweight strings but it will obviously come up if required.
