Handmade in England this Lakestone SL is the last word in craftsmanship and modern luthiery. Built by the Father and son team at Lakestone this guitar is handmade by Tony and Samuel Wright making this a truly boutique instrument in every sense. Like the trees from which they are crafted no two Lakestones are identical even when comparing the same combinations of timber side by side. The Lakestone SL is their new model, designed for excellent projection and volume. Its wider and longer sound board gives superb resonance and a well balanced mix of treble and bass.
The extra depth of the body produces a fuller sound and increases the volume. The unique lakestone neck construction and neck heel joint produces surprising sustain and makes the guitar easy to maintain and service. The Cedar top is less strident than spruce giving an even warm sound that is articulate without brittleness. The Ziricote is of the Rosewood family and packs some serious resonance with a warmth and clarity usually only found in high end Brazilian Rosewoods. Not only is this beautiful to play every piece of Ziricote has it's own unique figuring making each instrument a one off.
