Lowden S22, 12 Fret, Cedar over Mahogany, made in 2022. Near Mint Condition

  

Beautiful to look at and play. Lowden S22 (00 body) 12 fret cedar over mahogany. Certificate of authenticity shows it was made in 2022.

The guitar is near mint condition. No obvious marks, no damage and no heavy play wear. Never been gigged, home use only and stored in the case when not in use. Truss rod works perfectly as do tuners. Frets have been dressed and polished.

Finish has been cleaned with Lowden Revive polish and the bridge & fretboard treated with lemon oil. New Elixir Nanoweb 12 - 53 phosphor bronze strings fitted.

Action is set to 0.090 bass E string when measured at the 12th fret and 0.070 treble e string when measured at the 12th fret. Neck is set virtually straight, very minimal relief. Plenty of saddle height should a lower action be required.

Back and Sides - Mahogany. Rosette - Rosewood, Sycamore, Walnut, Mahogany.

Tuners - Gotoh Gold/Ebony 381. Neck - 5 Piece: Mahogany/Rosewood, standard George Lowden profile. Scale length - 630 mm.

Overall length - 965 mm. Lower Bout - 375 mm. Upper Bout - 265 mm. Body depth - 105 mm.

Body length - 480 mm. Weight - 1.73 kg.

Nut - Bone with width of 45 mm. Saddle - Bone with string spacing of 56.5mm. The guitar plays superbly and sounds amazing.

Tone is perfectly balanced across all strings. Trebles ring out and truly glisten. As usual with Lowden guitars, it responds to the slightest touch and has great sustain. Perfectly suited to finger style playing, either nails or flesh.

Six latch, heavy duty, arch top case is in unmarked condition. Case key, end pin and documentation included. Collection is the preferred option if possible but I'm also willing to travel, within reason, to hand over the instrument.
