Martin 0-15 Made in 1959. Among the small Martin guitars, the all-mahogany model is popular for its gentle and warm tone and calm and astringent looks.

In recent years, Jackson Browne's use of 00-17 has rekindled its popularity, and demand for styles 15 and 17 has increased. This time the arrival is 0-15 made in 1959. Until now, it has been thought that the difference between styles 15 and 17 is that the production time is slightly different and that the position mark is one less than 15, but I have found other differences! The 15th one has 19 frets, and the 17th one has 20 frets.

Due to that, the sound hole position is slightly different between 15 and 17. 15 has a sound hole about 1 cm above 17.

How much impact does it have on the sound side? However, with the 19-fret specification, I think there is no doubt that the 15 was a more reasonable popular model. Mahogany TOP, Mahogany SIDE BACK, Mahogany NECK, Hacaranda fingerboard bridge, actual measurement 42.7mm nut, 24.9 inch scale 13.5 inch small body. The width of the body is a little less than 35 cm even in the largest place, so it's easy to hold, and it's a size that you can bring to pluck your nails when you relax at home!

The sound is a mixture of the sweet and gentle tone of mahogany and the responsive and dry tone unique to vintage guitars, producing a responsive and transparent sound! As expected, when I'm over 60 years old, the body is dry and responsive, and the moment I pick it, the sound comes back with good response. Since it sounds in the entire box, it has a volume larger than the size, and there is a sound pressure feeling that can be used not only for finger picks but also for strokes, so you can enjoy beautiful tones in various situations regardless of play style or genre. I think you can get it.

You will be able to fully enjoy the charm of vintage guitars with the astringent and deep sound of over 60 years old while having a straightforward and transparent sound like mahogany! The condition of the instrument is reasonably clean, without the undulations of the top that are typical of maho tops, but the neck head is hung with an overlacquer that is close to the refinish. After many years of use, the original paint may have come off, overlacquered from the neck heel to the headtop. Some of the original paint remains, but the back of the neck is almost like a refinish. The head top feels like overspraying on top of the original paint.

The body has an original finish and is in good condition, but there is a crack repair on the side of the body. There are two cracks of about 10 cm side by side in the lower bulge on the 1st string side, and they are repaired by adhesive. Currently, it is firmly glued and reinforced cleats are struck from the back, so there is no need to worry about strength, but when cracks occur, it seems that the wood part has also chipped a little, and you will feel a little step when you touch it. Also, Martin cracks that accompany Martin are also included along the line inside the PG, but this is well hidden by the PG and is not visible at all on the surface. Reinforcing cleats have been struck from the back and have been repaired firmly, so there is no need to worry about using it in the future.

Pegs have recently been replaced with Cruson-type pegs, and nuts have been replaced with ivory. The neck condition is good and almost straight, and the current string height is 2.3 mm on the 6th string side and 2.0 mm on the 1st string side on the 12th fret, which is the best setting.

I don't have much room in the saddle anymore, but I think the playability is good enough even at present. The frets have been rubbed together, there are no noticeable dents, and the height is still high. There is no doubt that it will demonstrate its abilities even for recording and live use, but it is an easy-to-use size and healing sound that is ideal for relaxing at home and playing polo polo!
