Martin D12-1 Acoustic 12 string Guitar, Made in the USA. A USA Martin for the price of a Mexican X series model. Exceptional cosmetic condition for a 1997 guitar. Just a small few tiny marks which you would have to look carefully to find and only very light playwear. A previous owner has had a Bridge Doctor professionally fitted to prevent the forward bridge tilt which is all too common with 12 string guitars (Breedlove fit these as standard to all of their USA made acoustics) and this has obviously worked with this guitar.

Though the Bridge Doctor model fitted is only suitable for 12 string guitars with 9's or 10's fitted, so the 10's fitted here are the upper limit. This 1997 Martin has a solid spruce top, solid mahogany back and layered mahogany sides. The bridge, fretboard, and headstock facing are all solid rosewood. The action height is 2.5mm (fret top to string) at the 12th fret, with minimal relief of 0.5mm between the 1st and 20th frets. The neck is very straight with no signs of twisting. The truss rod seems to be stuck in position, but in the correct position. It may move with a some force applied, but since the neck already seems to be in perfect adjustment I'm not going to try.
