Rubner 200-S (previously 210-S) model steel string guitar machine heads. Solid brass baseplate nickel plated - Hauser shape baseplate - No engraving - Pearloid buttons - Standard 35/70mm Roller spacing - 6mm Diameter x 28mm metal rollers - Do not require countersinking of shaft holes. These are good quality tuners at an affordable price. They are available with a wide range of combinations of shape, button material, engraving and finish to suit any guitar. Unlike other tuners which require countersinking of the holes in the headstock to accommodate protrusions around the shafts, the baseplates of the Rubners are flat and the 6mm shafts come straight out of the baseplate and require only a 1/4 (6.4mm) hole for each shaft. This makes installation easier and less likely to weaken the headstock. What we really like about these machine heads is that even the lowest priced sets look nice and work well, they don't look cheap like most of the rest in this price range. The lower priced models are without doubt the best quality economy tuners for slotted head guitars on the market while the higher priced sets compare well with Schaller, Grover and Gotoh tuners. Price is structured according to the level of engraving on the baseplates and the materials used for the button, Pearloid, Ebony, imitation ivory and real Mother of Pearl buttons are used on different models.
