A Japanese-made Takamine, from 1997, according to the serial number (see photos). This model (FP460CS) features a solid, figured spruce top and solid rosewood sides and back. The neck is mahogany and the fingerboard a very nice piece of rosewood, with contrasting inlaid wood fret markers.
It features a rosewood bridge base and a bone nut, cut to perfection. The headstock face is rosewood with an abalone logo.
Tuners are Takamine branded Gotoh. The frets are in almost perfect condition, with the merest hint of playing wear in some places. The guitar is set up with a low, buzz-free action and is a joy to play, with excellent intonation all over the neck. Strings are Takamine-recommended D'Addarios. The preamp is Takamine's highly-regarded AccurAcoustic EQ, and is working perfectly, including the LEDs on the sliders. These preamps are interchangeable with later versions, if desired. Sadly, the original case had gone missing when I bought the guitar, but it comes with a tough moulded plastic case which provides decent protection.
Please feel free to get in touch with any questions. Happy to send more photos if required.
