Rare vintage 1970s 3-star TAKEHARU WK-300 6-String Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar made by KISO SUZUKI, complete with brand new hard case. DESCRIPTION: Ive collected vintage Japanese guitars for many years and the Takeharus are my favourite. That was an excellent sounding guitar but the WK-300 is even better, it has an equally well-balanced tone but is louder and produces more harmonic overtones and longer sustain. I filmed this video of the guitar being played on 5th September 2021. The sound was captured with a Shure SM57 mic. No EQ, compression or other effects were added, what you hear is the beautiful, raw sound of the guitar. Im not an expert on wood species but the top appears to be spruce and I think the stunning, three-piece back and sides are Jacaranda Brazilian Rosewood. There is gorgeous abalone purfling around the soundboard and soundhole. An adjustable saddle allows easy lowering or raising of the action to suit your style of playing. The guitar is fitted with Martin MA540 (SP 012-054 Phosphor Bronze) strings and the action is currently set for 2.85mm (bass E) / 2.6mm (treble E) at the 12th fret. CONDITION: This WK-300 is in very good condition for a guitar thats over 40 years old.

It is rock solid and has no structural issues. The neck is straight and the bridge is stable, these Made In Japan guitars really were built to last! The fingerboard and frets are in excellent shape and have only minimal wear from playing on the first three frets, all other frets are unmarked. The tuners all work great and hold the strings in tune. There are of course some cosmetic marks commensurate with the guitars age, a few minor surface scratches and dings, I've tried to show the worst of these in the photos.
