Vintage Guitar by Ludwig Lautersac. Hand made in Germany around 1915. One of a kind instrument. A very strange build instrument with a rare shape and some violin marks. It is build from laminated rosewood and a three parts spruce top.

The neck is made out of one solid piece of pear. To make it not so heavy the neck is hollowed out and there is even sound coming out of the holes in the fret board!! The finishing touch is done by using different types of wood for the inlayed rosette. This instrument has not all that loud expressive sound. If you are used to a small fret board, this guitar and gives you the possibility to use your (E) guitar skills to create a different atmosphere. The combination of a spruce flat top and laminated rosewood back and sides gives this instrument a sound between a classical guitar and a lute. This instrument is nicely restored and is like new.

I brought this German wrack back to life. The bridge is new made from rosewood. Look at the lovely rosette and fine carved head. The dots in the fret board are made from mother of pearl and three of them are hollow and have via the neck a connection with the body.

This is an opportunity for somebody who wants to try something different and have a beautiful instrument at the same time. It is a very easy playable instrument which sounds mellow and sweet. Good volume and sustain for an instrument like this. Basses an trebles well balanced.

Fingerboard; 41 - 50 mm. Tuners; 6 individual, beautiful original solid brass with bone buttons, fine working. Distance; from the top of the 11Th fret to the bottom of the strings, 3,5 mm.
